If you plan to travel to Russia for work, you will need a business visa. It can be valid for 30 days to 12 months, with multiple entries. The procedure for obtaining a business visa is more complicated than for a tourist visa, as it requires an invitation from a Russian company.

Private Visa

Designed for people visiting family or friends in Russia. A private visa is valid for up to 90 days and requires an invitation from a private person living in Russia. The process of obtaining this visa is more complicated, so it is less recommended.

Humanitarian Visa

A humanitarian visa is issued for cultural, scientific, sports or religious purposes. It is valid for up to 12 months and can include multiple entries.

Student Visa

If you plan to study in Russia, you need a student visa. It is valid for up to 90 days, but can be extended according to the length of your study program. Approval from a Russian university is required.

Transit Visa

A transit visa is necessary if you are passing through Russia to another country. It is often used by maritime agencies for crews and by transport companies. It can be valid for up to 10 days (for travel by train or car) or up to 72 hours (for travel by plane).
